Juanma Fernandez was a co-organizer of the IBEC NMD-Day. In the framework of the  Day of Neuromuscular Diseases, we have organized two events focusing on these diseases. One, aimed at professionals, researchers and clinicians (November 15). The other, of an informative nature, aimed mainly at patients, family members and patient associations (November 19). Scientists and patients meet at the IBEC to look for new treatment strategies for these minority pathologies.

The journal Ara interviewed Juanma Fernandez Costa, senior researcher at the group of Biosensors for bioengineering, where he highlighted the importance of bioengineering research in finding new treatments against neuromuscular diseases such as Duchenne dystrophy.
